Earlier this year, when we shared with our students that Daraz Bangladesh is providing our complete school dresses and a beautiful school bag, Shohagh, a grade 5 student stood up in the class and said “ধন্যবাদ স্যার, অনেকদিন পর নতুন স্কুল ড্রেস পাইলে খুব মজা হইবো, সব বন্ধুরা মিলে স্কুলে নতুন স্কুল ড্রেস পরে আসবো, ব্যাগ ছাড়া বেশি বই খাতা আনা যায়না, ব্যাগ পাইলে সব বই খাতা নিয়ে আসবো – Thank you sir, It will be great to have school dress after a long time. I along with my friends will come to school wearing new school dresses. Without bag, I can’t carry many books and notebooks, if I get the bag I will carry all the books and notebooks” They were waiting for their school dresses and bags since that.
One day, a group of Tailor came to school and took school dress and shoe measurements for all the students. From that day on, there was a happy vibe in the school. Finally on 25 May, 2022, we were able to distribute 290 sets of complete school dresses and bags among our students. There were guests from Daraz Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Tajdin Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, Daraz Bangladesh, Mr. A. H. M Hasinul Quddus (Rusho) sir, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Daraz Bangladesh, Mr. Shabbir sir from Daraz Bangladesh. Guests shared their valuable words with our students and inspired them to be a better human being.
This project brought happiness and smile in the face of the students as they got new school dresses and bags. Which ultimately gave a positive and energetic vibe among teachers, parents and community people. Students and teachers got motivated to their regular classroom activities and students’ regular attendance rate increased in a dramatic way, the result of the last couple of tests showing improvement in students learning. We believe this will continue to increase day by day.
Our sincere gratitude and respect to Mr. Md. Tajdin Hassan sir, Chief Marketing Officer, Daraz Bangladesh, for understanding the urgency of the school dresses for these students to support 290 underprivileged students in receiving a quality education. We would like to thank Mr. A. H. M Hasinul Quddus (Rusho) sir, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, and Mr. Shabbir sir from Daraz Bangladesh, for being kind enough for joining the school dress distribution ceremony and inspiring Mojar School students.
