Non-Formal Education

Flexible Learning for Street and Marginalized Children

To reach children who live on the streets or cannot access traditional schools, Mojar School runs a robust non-formal education model through two unique approaches:

1. Under The Sky Mojar School (UTSMS)

Open-Air Learning in Urban and Rural Communities

The Under the Sky Mojar School (UTSMS) model brings learning directly to street children—under the open sky. With no walls or blackboards, these sessions provide basic literacy, numeracy, life skills, and food in a nurturing and informal setting.

Locations:

  • Dhaka Division: 6 Points
  • All Other Divisions (7): 1 Point Each
  • Total UTSMS Points: 14

This flexible, child-centered model ensures that even the most unreachable children get access to basic education, hygiene knowledge, and emotional care.

2. KFC Bangladesh Collaboration

CSR-Powered Street Education Model

In partnership with KFC Bangladesh, Mojar School operates 8 additional non-formal education points focused on reaching children near busy city streets and public spaces.

Locations:

  • Dhaka City: 7 Points
  • Cox’s Bazar: 1 Point
  • Total KFC Points: 8

This initiative is part of KFC’s CSR efforts, enabling children to learn in a safe, friendly, and dignified environment with educational support and meals.

Mojar School in Bangladesh

Mojar School currently operates in four major divisions of Bangladesh, with both formal and non-formal education initiatives:

Dhaka Division

Mymensingh Division

Barishal Division

Chittagong Division

These regions include a diverse range of urban slums, remote islands like Manpura, and disaster-prone communities where educational access is extremely limited. Our team works on the ground in these areas to ensure no child is left behind.

Education for Every Child, Everywhere

At Mojar School, we believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream—regardless of where they come from. With this commitment, our Education Program is designed to serve underprivileged and street children across Bangladesh through both Formal and Non-Formal education models.

Our program reaches children in slums, remote islands, city streets, and underserved communities—ensuring no child is left behind.
