 #  Position Overview

At Mojar School, we have spent the last 13 years building one of Bangladesh’s most recognized nonprofit movements—transforming the lives of street children and underprivileged youth through education, nutrition, and shelter.

We are now scaling further and are seeking a strategic, impact-driven individual to join our 3-headed fundraising leadership structure as the Head of New Opportunities & Partnerships. This is a high-trust, high-impact role focused on tapping into new funding channels—including corporates, embassies, INGOs, foundations, and government bodies—to support our long-term residential education programs like OBBS (Our Backyard Boarding School) and the Children’s Village.

 Key Responsibilities

5 Maintain a real-time pipeline of prospects with stage-wise tracking (lead to grant) Ensures clear donor journey and follow-up consistency
6 Manage reporting commitments and compliance for each grant/funding partner Maintains transparency and supports renewal possibilities
7 Work closely with Finance, Programs, and Communications teams for aligned submissions Cross-team coordination improves proposal quality
8 Co-create new fundraising products (e.g., Village Sponsorships, FreshCoconut CSR Packs) Enables innovation and niche fundraising campaigns

You will lead strategic partnership building, especially aligned with Mojar School’s long-term residential education programs like OBBS and Children’s Village. These initiatives require visionary funding partners (CSR, embassies, international donors), and your leadership will directly influence the scaling and sustainability of these high-impact models.

# Eligibility & Skill Requirements

  1. Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Public Administration, Business, English, or any relevant discipline. Candidates from institutions with strong research and communication focus will be given preference. 
  2. Experience:
    Minimum 1–2 years of professional or internship experience in NGO, development sector, corporate CSR, grant writing, or partnership-building roles. Exceptional freshers with strong portfolios in research, writing, or youth leadership may also apply. 
  3. Core Passion:
    A deep commitment to youth development, education access, and improving the lives of street-connected and underprivileged children. Must demonstrate empathy, purpose-driven mindset, and ability to work in value-based environments. 
  4. Communication & Relationship Skills:
    Proven ability to write well-structured proposals, concept notes, and emails in English and Bangla. Strong interpersonal and follow-up skills with external stakeholders (corporate, embassy, INGO). 
  5. Proposal Writing & Documentation:
    Prior experience in grant writing, report preparation, or project documentation is highly valued. Familiarity with donor logic, theory of change, logframes, and budgeting is a plus. 
  6. Technical Skills & Tools:
    Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), email platforms, basic CRM systems, Canva or PowerPoint for donor decks, and data reporting tools (Excel, Google Forms, dashboards). 
  7. Time Commitment & Availability:
    Must be able to commit full-time (9 AM – 5 PM, Banani office) with occasional weekend or evening donor calls/events. At least 1–2 years of role continuity expected for meaningful impact and career growth. 
  8. Bonus Skills (Preferred but not mandatory): 
    1. Past leadership role in youth clubs, volunteering, or fundraising campaigns 
    2. Familiarity with national/international donor ecosystems
    3. Experience working in bilingual environments (English & Bangla)

 

 

Fresher with strong writing and research skills are welcome.

  9. Team Collaboration – Must work with program, comms, and finance for aligned proposals 
  10. Commitment to Development Sector – Vision-aligned, long-term contributor (minimum 1–2 years)
