Mim Akter’s journey is and inspiring tale of resilience and determination. Born into a life of hardship, Mim and her mother struggled to make ends meet, often resorting to begging on the streets. Adding to her difficulties, Mim faced a severe eye condition that limited her ability to see, making her future seem even more uncertain. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Mim’s spirit was unbreakable. When she found Mojar School, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life. The school not only provided her with an education but also
supported her medical needs and offered a safe space where she could dream of a better future. With the care and encouragement from her teachers, Mim continued her studies and worked hard to overcome her obstacles.

Today, Mim is a student in grade 9 at Mojar School, a milestone that reflects her determination and the support she has received. But her story doesn’t stop there. Mim has grown into a role model for other students by becoming a teacher at the Mojar School branch in Maniknagar. Despite her physical limitations, she now dedicates her time to teaching younger children, passing on the same hope and knowledge she once received.

Mim’s talents go beyond the classroom. She is an accomplished singer, captivating audiences with her beautiful voice, and a talented poet who expresses her thoughts and emotions through her writing. Her involvement in extracurricular activities has enriched her life, providing her with confidence
and the ability to inspire others.
Mim’s story is one of transformation—from a child begging on the streets to a dedicated student, teacher, and artist. Her journey stands as a testament to the power of education and support, showing how perseverance can lead to success, no matter the challenges.

Once, I thought there was no hope or possibility for me. Then, Mojar School admitted me and supported me in every possible way. I once told Arif Sir that I wanted to become a teacher, and he said that when I turned 18 and passed grade eight, I could. Today, my dream has come true, I am a teacher and a colleague to the very teachers who taught me. I enjoy every moment with the students, and my colleagues and teachers are always there to help whenever I face any challenges. I am deeply grateful to Mojar School for everything.
