Qurbani 2024: Sharing the Blessings with 1,320 Smiles
Posted on 10/05/2025 by মজার ইশকুল :: Mojar School

Eid-ul-Adha is a time of sacrifice, compassion, and community — and this year, Mojar School embraced the spirit of Qurbani with a heartfelt campaign that reached 1,320 underprivileged children and individuals across Dhaka and the remote island of Monpura.
Thanks to the incredible support from our generous donors, we were able to arrange:
2 cows and 7 goats for Qurbani
Fresh meat distribution among families living in extreme poverty
Cooked Eid meals are served to children and individuals who rarely get access to nutritious food
Where and How We Shared the Qurbani
Dhaka (Urban Outreach)
In Sector 12, Uttara, fresh meat was cleaned and hygienically packed and distributed to the underprivileged community in the slum areas of Dhaka.
Monpura (Rural Island Initiative)
Monpura, a remote island in Bhola district, often struggles with food insecurity and limited access to basic needs. Transporting sacrificial meat and prepared meals to this location required careful planning. But the effort was worth it – hundreds of families and children received their share of meat, many enjoying beef for their first Eid meal in months.
What It Meant for the Children
For many of the children we support, Eid doesn’t come with new clothes or lavish meals. But this Qurbani brought genuine joy. They were able to enjoy:
Plates filled with nutritious beef or goat curry
Freshly cooked rice and vegetables
The rare experience of celebrating Eid with dignity
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Donors
None of this would have been possible without the kindness and generosity of our donors. Your contributions made sure that Mojar School could carry out this event smoothly and with dignity for all involved. You helped us:
Arrange the animals and proper slaughter in accordance with Islamic tradition
Set up safe and hygienic cooking stations
Cover transportation and logistics to remote areas
Ensure quality food reached everyone without waste
