Celebrating Joy, Energy, and Childhood: Mojar School Sports Festival – Season 7

On June 4, 2025, the sun rose over the Tejgaon Railway Station with laughter, excitement, and a whole lot of joy. Amid the rail-station business and passing trains, মজার ইশকুল :: Mojar School, organized Sports Festival 2025 – Season 7, a celebration dedicated to the street children we teach under our Under The Sky Mojar School (UTSMS) program.

It wasn’t just an event. It was a moment of belonging. A chance for children who usually live on the margins of society to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

An Afternoon of Games, Giggles, and Glory

More than 25 street children participated in this beautiful gathering of Sports Festival. For many of them, it was the first time they were part of something that was for them. We hosted five thrilling games that brought out their energy, laughter, and teamwork:

  1. Marble Race (Spoon & Marble)
  2. Word Realizing Puzzle –a creative test of wit
  3. Ball Passing – full of speed and smiles
  4. Ball Throwing into a Box – requiring both aim and confidence
  5. Jumping Race (ব্যাঙ লাফ) – a crowd favorite

In each game, three winners were recognized, making 15 children proud recipients of prizes. The delight in their eyes as they received their awards was priceless.

More Than Just a Sports Day

What made the event even more special was how the street children themselves helped organize the event: laying out materials, managing lines, cheering for one another. They weren’t just participants, they were leaders, teammates, and stars.

Even bystanders and local onlookers couldn’t help but join the cheer. Many clapped, some smiled quietly, and others shared kind words with the children. That rare moment of community unity was one we’ll never forget. After the events, each child was given a snack package, and the sense of fulfillment was visible on every face.

The Real Impact: Reclaiming Childhood

This event reminded us again why Mojar School exists. These children often grow up too fast, carrying burdens they shouldn’t. But on this day, they were allowed to just be kids. To run, to laugh, to compete, to win, and sometimes to lose; but always to feel they belonged.

One child, Roksana, whispered, “আপু, পরেরবার আমি আবার ফার্স্ট হবো,” and in that small sentence was a world of hope. She knew there would be a next time.

Gratitude to the Dreamers Behind the Day

This beautiful day came to life thanks to the swift coordination of our team and the visionary guidance of our Executive Director, Arian Arif. It was made possible through passion, preparation, and teamwork.

A special thanks goes to our team whose dedication and calm leadership made sure everything went smoothly. They managed everything with heart and efficiency.

What’s Next?

As Mojar School continues its journey toward building a Street Children Free Bangladesh, events like this remind us: the most powerful change begins with love, trust, and shared moments of joy. Let’s keep creating more moments like these together!

Behind every cheer is a dream waiting to unfold.
